Brouwerij Martinus – 10 hl

In the centre of Groningen, a stone’s throw from the Grote Markt, Martinus brews speciality beers in a unique industrial building on the Kostersgang. Brouwerij Martinus is a family business. After running a printing business here for twenty years, entrepreneur Albert-Jan Swierstra decided to take a different approach.

Together with his wife Henriëtte and youngest son Martijn, who brews the beers, the brewery was started in mid-2015. Where once the printing press was running, now the brewing kettles are simmering. What started as a hobby in the kitchen at home has now grown into a professional business with a tasting room and a restaurant.
